Our kids and teens Krav Maga classes in Woburn, MA, teaches age-appropriate techniques and solutions for dealing with the types of aggressive and violent situations that these age groups are most likely to face. We don’t sensationalize the material and teach it in a manner that inspires confidence and empowers, without breeding complacency. Our classes are suitable for kids and teens ages 6 to 17. The classes consist of times when all ages train together, such as in “line drills”, where individuals are practicing things such as striking, punching and kicking on their own, as well as times when the class is broken down by age to look at different self-defense scenarios , and/or certain threats and attacks etc. For the younger kids we don’t teach solutions to chokes, strangulations, and/or joint locks as this would involve teaching them how to apply these things, which could result in them demonstrating to friends (outside the school) when unobserved, potentially resulting in injury.
Our classes are taught in an encouraging, fun, and exciting manner, using games and drills to build real-life fighting skills. Students at the school will learn how to break their fall, strike, punch, and kick effectively as well as how to defend themselves on the ground, and against multiple assailants etc. They will also be taught how to identify violent situations before they occur and de-escalate aggressive incidents when/where appropriate.
Our Kids and Teens Krav Maga classes are 45-minutes in length and run from 11:15 – 12:00 pm on Saturday mornings. The program is split into semesters that roughly mirror those of the schools in the area. The cost per child for each semester is $270, this includes all gradings, diplomas, and belts etc. On first joining your child/teen will receive a school t-shirt, which constitutes the required uniform (non-zippered tracksuit bottoms, shorts, leggings etc., can be worn with the t-shirt). Kids and Teens are allowed to take the first class of the semester for $25, to see if they want to enroll in the program. You will have the option of cancelling the remaining payment of $245 if your child/teen decides this is something they don’t want to continue with.
